From the price of that picture, seems like there's something else that would be stretched, whilst they were jamming their fist up it!

I was almost tempted to buy it .....

This is Window Shopping as in "looking at all the things I do not need to buy".

(Can't decide whether the artist is Welsh or Serbian)

Update: Serbian Geordie, apparently.

IQglass seem excellent!

Their showroom is inspiring.

Also the lady whom was our point of contact was great .

So far throughly recommended .

Did she make you an offer for your glass?

What is this? I like it.

"The Last English Rose".

Original owned or exhibited by Saatchi I think

https://www.saatchiart.com/art/Painting-The-Last-English-Rose/393151/2446991/view

"Harper & Deyong offer a range of luxury artworks suitable for every room in the house. If you like this piece but are looking for a different colour speak to the team on 01494 722 880. "

If I had that sort of money to spend it would not be a print; I would be looking for an original, or to commission, or something more like an original Moore or Frink where I know it will not get commoditised or rejected later by the artist (see Banksy); I think the contemporary art market is a racket, both in galleries and auctions, and especially in IP.

BTW f you sell this print on, you will have to pay 4% to the artist.

Let’s be honest

7k for a shitty print is a joke .

Some of the bespoke furniture was really nice .

You sit on it and go “ this is nice “

Stand up and flip over the attached label , see the price and go “ F me “

Some of the furniture was more expensive than all my glazing ?

Depends on definition ....

I have purchased both prints and originals and it’s fair to say a lot in that range will appreciate in value. Around 4 years ago I got offered a Lowry original, 6x4” pencil sketch, for £18,000........ I declines, despite it being available on 36 months interest free etc ... 18 months later it resold for £28,500...... same with Christian Hoook, originals were £2-3k and then he won Sky Portrait artist of the year and some of those original works are now worth upwards of £35k.

You either buy art for investment or pleasure, never both ..!!

I’d never buy from a glazing showroom either ... buy via a decent gallery or dealer and at least get the provenance on the pieces..!!

Well !

Install is due Monday ! . This is all glazing except the front door . Should be interesting!! . To avoid a crane they want to winch in the 250kg glass doors through the main doorway opening then lower to underground dungeon . Good luck with that !!

Better than Xmas so won’t be able to sleep Sunday night !!!

I will love to see IQ glass in place!

I am comparing all the slim sliding doors, including IQ glass, fineline etc.

The cortizo cor vision system seems to be more reasonable and still looks pretty good.

I went for the Cortizo and installed a few weeks ago.  Seems good for the money, will be very slim sightlines once the floor and plasterboard etc is in.

The rest of the glazing ? arrives tomorrow. So in theory all done apart from front door . Photos to follow

Shall we have a sweepstake for whether it fits  ?

(Sacrificing future invitations to @pocster's whilst he is still alive and in possession of capacity.)
