Sloping Soffits

Triassic

Recommended Posts

We’ve been looking a options for the barge boards and soffits and one option being considered is to fix the soffit board directly under the rafter, thus giving us a sloping soffit. Is there any reason why we shouldn’t go with this design?

Only issue is if you use off the shelf components such as UPVC fascia is that they are designed for a 90 degree junction.

Would any water or condensation also not run down to the soffit fascia junction and potentially cause issues ..??

You can get some UPVC that has an angle return made for this type of build. Eurocell used to sell it
