Frozen sand : how to unfeeze it?

The best I can up with is to cover the sand with  a dark colour membrane, perhaps a bin liner, and hope the sun will heat the sand up a bit. Same principle as a  a solar shower...

Well she would get the hump if you heat up one tonne at a time, poor lass.

Back the trailer into your garage and put a heater on in there.

Should have put it there to start with, even in this cold spell, my unheated garage has not gone lower than 3 degrees.

Can you back it into a container, and put heat on there?

(Suspect they may all be full of essential equipment and stores.)

(On a smaller scale I have just brought all my bird feeders into the Utility to unfreeze and restock.)

Meanwhile back on Silly Street...

100mm of pir in the base of the trailer topped off with some ufh pipes. Next time it freezes connect to a handy pumped hot water source...home brew bfo solar thermal array?

Tarp over the compost heap, dump the sand on that.....
