Shallow LED light

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

The builder has left me a standard light 'drop' in my loft bedroom. It's too low (ceiling height is restrictive anyway).

So I purchased from ebay ( yeah I know! ) a nice shallow LED light for £10.

Quite frankly I'd be afraid to install that in my house let alone a tenanted one!

So I'm looking for a recommendation for something that doesn't look like it was made cheap in China; and conforms to UK regs.

Any respectable lighting companies to recommend?

Cheers

toplightco are one of my favorite places, got a couple of surface mount led panels, but maybe not quite right for you https://www.toplightco.com/cgi-bin/sh000001.pl?WD=surface&PN=Pro-Lighting-Square-24W-LED-Surface-Panel-PTS-PBD-24S-BC.html#SID=6722

Good website. The filters especially helpful. Ordered something more expensive but 'trendy'!

I bought one of thes  off ebay.

Less than £5. The wires re so thin you can barely get a contact.

Made a purchase from lights

Looks far more like it meets British standards . Spent a bit more than the original £10 ( about £35 I think ) - looks trendy though and gives excellent light !!

Led !

It was tongue in cheek.

But I have often said it is a shame flourescents are so lamented as "old" and what a shame nobody has managed to make one that looks modern.  Well that fitting you have shown would work equally with two flourescnet tubes and look modern.
