1mm is better. There is not much room in those wiring centres to get all the cables in, so the smaller the better.

Ok, even better then, as I may have to share the conduit in a couple of walls with cabling for light switches.

Thanks very much all! Another job for this coming week then!

What do you need from each stat? Temp only / temp + time clock etc ? Are you having a central hub to set times etc ?

Hi Nick

Just wanted to be able to set each stat  temp time / 7 day week etc, Had not planned on a central hub but could be persuaded. Wunda have not offered this as an option.

Hi Lizzie

Does it all work ok, do you set each room independently or off a central hub, Wifi or wired?

Yes set each room individually or from app.  You can set a profile to have different times/ temps different rooms or all the same....my fave programme is nicknamed ‘toasty’ LOL.  Heatmiser works fine once you get it set up was an absolute bugger to get going initially though.I’m happy with it now Ive worked it out.

Can someone tell me if I've ended up getting the wrong cable? I went and bought 6243Y 3X1+1 1mm from TLC: https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/CA1slash3G.html

But it seems overkill to me (bearing I am no electrician) for what is only linking the thermostats to the ufh control board. Even the cable clamps in the wiring centre won't be able to clamp that cable down:

Did I get the wrong stuff? Surely this would suffice? https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/CA0dot75HR4.html

If not, it'll be a bugger to get the wiring centre all connected (leaving that for electrician):

You should have got flexible cable, number of cores to suit, as the solid core stuff is for fixed wiring only. The Basic stuff is for wiring between the CU and the fused disconnection unit, and then you can use flexible cable, suitably protected in a trunking where practicable, which would be far easier. Also no need to earth sleeve anything as the earth will already be a PVC coated core.
