Condensation on triple glazing

Nipped up to site this morning before going to work & there was condensation on the outside of our sliding patio doors, the kitchen window & glazed back door.

These windows are all south or west facing & quite sheltered.

There was no condensation at all on the north & east facing ones where the early morning sun was shining.

Has anyone else had this?

Yes we get that too Moira.  Was quite a shock when I first saw it back in the spring.  I'm told its nothing to worry about, something to do with air temp and glass temp.  All our south and west windows had it this morning.

Yes perfectly normal

 

It shows how little heat is escaping through the 3G glass meaning the outside pane is cold enough for condensation to form.

 

Oddly it's only our north facing windows that do this, the south facing ones don't (yet)

As above, normal for triple glazing. 

 

It puzzled me at first, as I'd never ever seen condensation on the outside of windows before (at least on the house) but we're now used to it.  It happens regularly in autumn, winter and early spring, and is a minor nuisance in terms of obscuring the view, but it does show that the heat loss through the glazing is a lot lower than it was with just the double glazing at our old house.

Well I have double glazing and we get that on east facing windows.

Yes. We get condensation all the time on the outside of our 2G fairly new conservatory.

Quick few mins with the window vac in the mornings then.

I can live with that.
