Powerfix Sealant Gun

Onoff

Recommended Posts

I'm really quite impressed with the Lidl Powerfix sealant gun.

It comes with accessories including nozzles and a round plastic disc / "piston head" so instead of a tube of silicon you can load the gun with "grout" or similar.

I've never used powdered tile adhesive (only the tub stuff probably 30 years ago). Wondering whether I could load the gun with some Mapei cementitious grout and pump into the gaps between my Aqua Panel?

I think you may be over complicating this

i bet I could fill a full vertical gap quicker than you could have the caulking gun loaded

mix it up and apply just like joint filler

hawk and a 5inch wide filling knife

smash it in, pushhard to fill joint

one nice smooth swipe down or up to remove excess

remember your tanking over this not painting it so your not looking for a mirror finish.

Agree the Powerfix gun is good. I'd always used cheap open frame guns before, and didn't really expect an enclosed one to be any better, but it's been one of my better purchases. The smoothing tools are also very good to have.
