lord mud of the flyes Posted yesterday at 22:00 Author Posted yesterday at 22:00 I ordered a 800KG bag of ballast and 6 bags of cement and had them delivered by Travis Perkins AS SOME BRIGHT SPARK SOMEWHERE SAID THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH BALLAST FOR 2X 45 GALLON DRUMS And I started the work. Well i have now run out of ballast! I was told that an 800kg bag would do me 2X45 gallon/205 litres drums and it has only done 1 and 2/3rd of the drums. I am still 1/3 of a drum short!

Measure twice and all that. At least you can calculate how much extra you need now...

No offence but you come to this with seemingly zero concept of what is to most a basic understanding of how you mix concrete and the ratios. You're being given good advice. I'd suggest you listen / take it. You risk people ignoring you. "2 x half gates will be more stable Quick sum. All approximate. 45 gallons, 200 litres. Concrete is 2200kg/m3. so 440kg. A big bag of ballast is 800kg. So with cement and water one bag will do 2 barrels, approx. If not quite, then chuck in some rubble. Presumably you will cut the tops off the drums". I think calling you a muppit is to much of an under score so, In the words of the Late Henry Kissinger You Sir are no more then a useless little eater that should of been terminated by the fake vaccine by now I am surprised no one ell on hear spotted the error either, NOT!

It may make your life more simple and you less angry.
