We were thinking of having all services go through into the utility room of the house, meters on outside. Is there any good reason not to have these connections go through the wall in close proximity ?? ... could be reasons of safety/regs, aesthetics, convenience or anything else Can they share a trench? Broadly speaking all areas follow pretty much the same guidelines but some service providers insist on certain colour ducts underground such as red instead of black for electricity. My gas and electric are about a metre apart and come through the study wall The water is 5 mtrs further along All share the same trench Water in first Gas and electric on top But as Onoff has already pointed out Mpst suppliers are very strict about trench depths and the ducting that you use 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
