Jeremy Harris Posted November 8, 2017 Share Posted November 8, 2017 I used a roof ladder hooked over the ridge, safety rope attached to a belay on the other side of the house and both a sit and chest harness, with both harnesses hooked to the safety rope with my old SRT ascenders. 45 deg is a steep roof to walk up without safety provision, in my view, especially when covered with slates. The one that treats all customers like shop lifters. They grip reasonably well on a wet floor at work and only cost about 22 quid.
