Sock bin? Gonna need an MVHR extract in there ;)

Yep,  did think about linking to the pan extract somehow.

Or at least a louvre top and bottom of the door.  I imagine the cupboard will be shelved for bottles & potions.

Magic potions likely seeing that the missus is a witch...

Best include a broomstick store as well then.

I built a tall slot in the utility room airing cupboard, designed to take an ironing board, hidden, out of the way and secured so it couldn't try and open itself and fall over.  SWMBO was not amused when she saw it, asked what the tall slot was for, and I jokingly replied that it was a dedicated storage space for her broomstick...

I lad I knew walked into his MIL's kitchen to find her standing there holding a broom. "What's up Maureen, can't start it?" said he.

Finally got the old incoming mains re-routed to feed the Geberit cistern!

Not sure still how I'm going to finish off the back of this cupboard!

Isolation via a decent Pegler valve:

IMG_20180729_222320713.thumb.jpg.3bdb67edb2243a46634ccaab730320a6.jpg

And good access from the back of the cupboard:

I need to hack off the old incoming iron pipe below the concrete and infill that bit...angle grinder straight through?

IMG_20180729_222417675_HDR.thumb.jpg.d1b3c29d1c2e89f51be0bd12dff06718.jpg

Do I need to "cap" the iron once cut?

It goes nowhere, just out under the footings, about 700mm down where it's happily rotting away.

Ta.

Load of pink grip and a metal dowel banged in will suffice as a cap end.

Might have to be whatever generic (Sticks Like, No More etc) one I have kicking around here.

Must put a screen up so I don't shower the bath with sparks!

Anything to put off this tanking! :)

I filled the floor void at the back of the cupboard. Wetted the void with 5:1 SBR then 4:1 concrete made with the same SBR mix:

Made a start on drilling thru for the bath cabling. Some frpb in the little cupboard outside the bathroom where the relocated bath controls will sit at a convenient height (they were strapped u/side the bath originally). The black plastic things come off of heat shrink reels I use at work and fit into a 50mm Starrett cut hole a treat:

Tapered the pockets too with tile adhesive.

Running out of excuses. Need to do a beer run so I can think straight! :)

Pressure testing the towel radiator loop over the last 24hrs and it's dropped by a bar.

IMG_20180730_214703096.thumb.jpg.55b66c98147ea3122f4a328ac12ae3a6.jpg

Can't see any leaks though, at least at the testing end or 6 elbows!

There's one hidden elbow on the RHS in the wall that's straight onto Pex-Al-Pex. Nothing on the floor though.

Ambient has dropped massively though. Could that be it?

I bled it pretty well I thought too. Via the drain valve one end of the loop until it ran bubble free.

Temp does have a big affect on pressure, so could well be that.  Chill.  Tanking wasnt as bad as I thought it would be - just a bit slow with a brush / roller combo.  Ive got tiling to do next - putting it off but need to man up now really.

Interesting that the label on the membrane container says that Everbuild 503 SBR Bond can be used as a primer if the actual Aqua Seal primer isn't available:

How did you apply the primer and did it go far enough?

I used a brush for the primer.  A roller would work fine.  I then used this

Cheaper than screwy.  This kit is a cheap way of getting the tape.  When the tanking solution ran out I then bought this to finish the job

If you need more tape then you may find the 1st one is the cheap way of getting 10m of it - the rest of the stuff is effectively free.

Go for it.

Primer does more surface than the kit tanking membrane will.

Ta. A few pics over on my Tanking thread. Slowed a bit waiting for the wall drain inbuilt membrane to dry. Bought a second kit off Amazon. Should have got the Mapei one you linked tbh to save waiting for the sake of a fiver. Can't see Aquaseal/Mapei not being compatible.

Has anyone seen the bath control box?

Seriously, wtf did I put it???

Edit: It appears SWMBO has "tidied it up"! "Grey thing with grommets and a black lead?" she said...

She's now looking, I'm now drinking! :)

Not acheived much today...too flamin' hot!

Each 12V deck around the bath has its own 25mm duct so replacing should be a doddle. All connections are outside the bathroom in an accessible cupboard/ riser:

Well we have lights and bubbles!

All off a plug top at the mo but I want to check for leaks before closing the bath in.

Hot and cold ran out before I could fill above the jet line...it's just about on it.

Light on/off works fine but jets are either full whack or off...what I think is the jet control does nothing...

Found one snapped wire on a pcb connector, no surprise there seeing how long it's been sat! :)

Going to sit down with a beer now and read the instructions!
