Block and Beam into existing wall

Hi - Just had my specs for for the block and beam floor, and looks they are proposing I cut the beams into the existing wall on the left.
That looks like quite a bit of work to me cutting 9 x holes? Would I be better digging a test hole find my existing foundations and see If I can fit a single block wall and sit the beams on that?

Thanks!

It’s unlikely that BC would let you sit another row of block on the existing foundation's As there wouldn’t be enough width  You would have to put another strip of concrete parallel to the existing

Not a massive amount of work to make ,9 pockets in a wall. An sds drill and a couple of hours work at most

Great thank you, I'll go with that :)

I doubt it.  What a pain to do.  You need them all in nice and flat and level and smooth.  I have just cut out for a couple of padstones on an existing wall and that took a while to stitch drill.  Can't you have a ground bearing slab?
