Sips Porch

Hi 

 

Am new to the site, i was looking for some help and advise

 

Looking to Build a front porch with a 3 sided Hipped roof, had some quotes for conventional brick contstuction of 5k - 7k for a 3mtr by 2 mtr.

 

looking at alternative methods of constuction to see if i can get the cost down a bit.

 

has anyone built a porch using Sips?

would you recommend using a sips build for a DIYer.?

any recommendations on supplier?

can you run electrics through the panels?

rough costs?

 

sorry for all the questions 

 

would love any help or pointers on where i can find informaton

You'll need to shop around and get some quotes to compare prices and labour costs which are ridiculous these days...

In theory should be cheaper than conventional brick construction but I don't know if it would be as good as traditional brick wall.

In terms of electrics it is possible but should be pre-planned to avoid drilling and cutting panels (to avoid thermal bridging)

It's a bit complicated but hope it helps a bit.
