No… it’s rechargeable and runs for a significant time plus has a solar panel so if you point the panel as close to south as you can it should be self maintaining.

It is also wireless. So no holes through walls or draped around the place.

If you want to dispense with the panel and drill a single hole through a wall it will take a USB cable but I don’t think it’s water tight if you do.

Interesting this Peter Im trawling the reviews, & get the general gist. Nice & simple, no box thing. My direction is due south too.

Only fly in the ointment is whether it can work with my ipad, being my only computer now. Hmm..

Who deleted my post about in the toilet ?????

Nothing's been deleted from this thread as far as I can see. You sure you hit submit?

Try posting it again now we're all alert for something that probably needs deleting.

My post had loads of porn, violence , self mutilation and verbal abuse in it. Shall I post it again then?

Why not try posting something different for a change?

I’ve got a few Eufy camera scattered around, including the doorbell, reasonably priced. Mostly mains powered, but some battery (and solar panel available). Happy with them so far, local storage (MicroSD cards, so if the camera is nicked so is your evidence), but sends notifications and images to a smart phone with no subscription fees. Happy with them so far… Available from Amazon.

Ive missed the last page of replies.. is everyone suddenly on autumn mushrooms? Can i have some?

@PeterW hey that sounds fantastic then if it can be iOS compatible. I must do some double checking with their Co.. but this reolink one is top of my list now. Never thought Id be looking at sub £100 for a cctv system ( might be all I need to prevent future incursions, by way of a deterrent only as it'll be visible, & they're proven cowards, unless I can get it up when they're away blend it in high with the white soffit area, & cable tie the solar panel onto my black gutter next to it).

Appreciated, will update. Zoot

panel has its own mounting screws etc so you fix it to the wall and then point due south unshaded and 45 degrees etc to get best sun.

Understood.. I was thinking you see flat on the gutter, & its unseen. If i can get this up, & its useable vertical, & the white cam too blended in to my white soffit, maybe just nex pto to gutter too.. when both creeps out.. I might be able to catch them, actually recorded ( somehow.. this bit I need to understand yet ). The elusive nugget i desperately need, to at last give to police, to put an end to this 4.5 yrs of harrassment.

@zoothornI wonder if you could simplify things further and mount the camera internally at a window? There are some special (and cheap) cameras with mounts that stick to a pane of glass to eliminate internal reflections.

This camera is about £50.
