Hi experts,

I applied for a planning application which consists of 2 extensions, one to the left hand side and one to the right hand side.

Is it possible that one gets a permission and the other doesn't?

can they give a split decision?!!

Thanks in advance

Phewww :). Much safer and less likely to put the fear of god into the eyes of Planners and BCO’s

As the planning will be classed as one project then it’s unlikely you would get a split decision

They’d likely just fail it possibly with a recommendation to come back less the offending item(s), which would be free as you get 2 ‘hits’, iirc, before having to pay to submit again.

If the amendments are not non-material and you have to come back with a full resubmission then you may have to pay the fees again.

Panicking too soon isn’t healthy, just wait and see what they come back with. ;)

We are not experts. Nosey, yes. Self righteous , yes. Sound like we know what we are talking about , sometimes: but @SteamyTea is always right - always. Please do your Due Diligence. A Self Builder is a Domestic Client (CDM 2015)

To answer your question drekly: Yes.

Split Decisions are commonplace.
