Electric UFH on chipboard upstairs

We plan to have electric UFH mats in the ensuites upstairs and trying to work out the materials needed.

The floor makeup is 22mm chipboard on joists at 600mm centres. Within three spaces - between 1.5sqm and 3sqm - we want to install UFH mats. Two of these spaces will have a tiled flooring and one carpeted.

It seems standard that a chipboard floor naturally has a little 'give'. What floor make up is required in the tiled spaces to ensure longevity of the tile floor and best performance of the UFH mats?

Laid my mats directly onto chipboard floor and embedded in the adhesive then large format tiles. Been fantastic running 24/7 with a thermostat set at 22 degrees, couple of days ago it appears a mat has shorted out.

Cat and towels left on floor make very hot spots and this may well have been the cause.

oh well, bit more ripping and and re tiling ?
