Hi

old joiner (if you can call him that). Has use normal nail in joist hanger and they are starting to com loose and floor making a noise.  Any issue in taking them out and replacing them with twisted 30 x 3.75.

Will I get the same strength as a whole is already there?

If he’s just used a clout nail Then the twist nail will be a thicker gauge Whilst not ideal

They should hold

Ps

Shocking mistake for a joiner to make

Would putting a bit of glue in the hole help?

This is the easiest mistake to fix he has made on my house build pure cowboy.  Cut all the rafter doublers in the roof and lots more issues.

No Glue won’t help

Replace them all with twist nails
