Brick Slips on Woodcrete ICF

Recommended Posts

Has anyone used brick slips with Durisol or Isotex ICF blocks ?

The blocks are 250mm high so how do you make the window openings brick course able, standard height window openings tend to be 1350mm high  but of course this wont work with the 250mm blocks

So would I have to go 1500mm high, then there's the same issue with the doors.

Are you trying to design around the slip or the durisol?  When you are doing the lintels with durisol the blocks are on the end, so 500mm high and 250mm wide.  The blocks either side of the window/door opening are modified to take the rebar.  The window or door heights can be easily made to suit the slips, with too much additional work.  The door opening, by the white box is 2100mm high, the open under the flattish roof, lined up with the blocks at 2000mm, both opening require blocks to be modified.IMG_20210115_151607.thumb.jpg.274bd20d31f5adfc1b624714b14f49f7.jpg
