You can buy the knockout rings here: http://cart.vacuumsdirect.co.uk/index.php?p=product&id=449&parent=66

I have a couple of spare ones and could stick one in the post if you want to see if you can use them.  They are designed to be clamped in place in the plenum chamber fittings (these parts: http://cart.vacuumsdirect.co.uk/index.php?p=product&id=446&parent=66 ) where the threaded ring holds them in place, but you might be able to glue them in place instead.

BTW, the decent flow rate semi-rigid aluminium ducting I mentioned elsewhere, the stuff that is a great deal better that the rubbish flexible stuff with the steel spring in, is this stuff: http://cart.vacuumsdirect.co.uk/index.php?p=catalog&parent=38&pg=1

Hi Jeremy, thanks, been off line for ages as onsite with no broadband, I will message you with my address if you don't mind posting one!' No rush Mate. Yes I also used the flexible pipe you mentioned and it is far superior. One problem I foresee with the knockouts is when balancing is you can't put the rings back in ??? ( or am I wrong?).

Does that extend to making the heat exchanger in the MVHR? :)

Half serious question that, when I read the thread title I actually thought that's what you were up to.....and something I've wondered about myself.

I'm reading all through the site to gain as much knowledge as possible, so resurrecting this old thread.

I had gathered some corri board with the intention of making my own core, but I happened upon one of these.

Daikin 110635J HEAT EXCHANGE ELEMENT 227x227x383 (climatecontrolsandspares.co.uk)

Brand new in box for not much more than the price of corri board, glue, frame and foam. So I am planning to make a polystyrene enclosure and drive it initially with inline fans which I already have.

I'm really keen to make as much as I can not necessarily to save money although that is a welcome bonus, but like my plantation shutters. etc I can say I made that.

So any more tips on plenums, manifolds etc welcome.
