Did you get a chance to measure what's been removed/left?

yeah only managed to get down there today. It’s mostly 30 to 40mm with the a small section at 50mm.

Hi, what a challenge! Plumbers seem to do whatever,...

I have a similar question.

A plumber cut a hole in the external wall to make space for a waste pipe. The cut is about 40mm deep, 400mm wide and ca. 100mm high. The wall is an old brick wall, that is ca. 360mm thick. Equally, my question is whether I should be worried about structural integrity? The cut is smaller than 1/6 of the thickness of the wall - however I also understand that such cuts are not commonly done anymore.

One hope is, that because its underneath a window, not much weight is put on that part of the wall - but the weight sits more left and right of the window
