Plastic plumbing

I am siding towards plastic plumbing for ease and DIY factor.

I am sure it's been done to death but what are the cons vs copper?

I am planning of going for hep20, as it seems to have a better life span than speedfit.

Wiggly pipes where exposed, difficult to paint, 

 

cheaper, quieter, superior

I am a convert to plastic (took some doing!!). Main thing to watch out fir is scratching the pipe can lead to leaks at joins, leave it in the wrapping as long a possible. Also long lengths can be pulled in through voids like cable without lots of joins. I am also a fan of manifolds so each run is run separately.

Hep2O everywhere it’s hidden. Copper where it isn’t. Couldn’t imagine doing something now without it.

Does that mean having radiators in parallel than series? 

What is the advance of doing it that way?

When you say where it's hidden does that mean copper for the last section of radiator runs where it comes through the floor?

Where else would you use copper or it being visible?

@Moonshine, with regard manifolds I meant hot and cold water, not heating (I don’t have radiators) the plumbing for the UFH is also all plastic. Only copper used is around DHW tank and buffer tank.

Mice if they get in can eat plastic pipes.  Just don't let the mice get in.

We have left over 16mm pipe left over from underfloor heating. Can we use it for plumbing purposes?
