GaryM 18 Posted April 2 Just about to start wall tiling with hexagonal wall tiles for the first time. Any tips on how to go about it different from normal rectangular tiles. Thanks

Temp 1,470 Posted April 2 Yes to starting in the middle but first check won't be left with very thin cuts to do around the edges later. If that's going to happen put a grout line in the middle.
ProDave 4,476 Posted April 2 Best of luck cutting holes for socket boxes. That is a situation where I would finalise socket positions to match in with the tiles. That is a lot easier if the tiler and the electrician is the same person.

I think I may allow my artistic side win out and it looks better without tiles in those locations 😃

wozza 87 Posted April 4 When we did our en-suite in hex tiles we measured measured and measured to get the best fit possible - one thing to consider is which orientation you want the tiles - pointy ends horizontal or vertical if that makes sense?
