Plasterboard on blockwork - missing milimiters

No such thing as dumb question so I'll try:

11 courses of blocks = 2465 mm

1 standard plasterboard = 2400 mm

65 mm gap staring at me in the worst nightmares.

Is the plasterboard aligned with the ceiling, with the gap at the bottom covered later by the skirting?

This assumes your floor runs to perfect levels with blocks too. Other option is coursing bricks which give you flexibility to change the levels. Have seen them used to lower windows etc so you don’t need to split blocks.

Idiot that I am...

I ended up with 2470mm, finished floor to u/side of joists. I bought 2700mm boards so a fair bit left over. As i put the new ceiling joist in anyway, all I had to do was lower them or counter batten and create a service void. Would have saved me so much grief in terms of silly tile rips at the ceiling, airtightness at the ceiling etc. Should have, could have, would have...
