It amazes me we haven’t gone down the same sort of path as Argentina.

So, sure, we can bail out the feckless once more.

Careful now, you may be considered feckless at some point in your life and need bailing out :)

Safety nets - yes, bail outs - no.

The result of the last bail-out is 14 years and counting of zombie economy and all those things the little people have done like picking Brexit, Trump, Corbyn and Boris. The keep trying to push inflation but it’s just not happening yet.

@epsilonGreedy has it in for government borrowing but private sector borrowing was a car crash in many sectors and look, here we are.

And Boomers, and probably most other sectors of society.

Don't forget the senior IT managers, and people that like data.

The feeble minded.

Oh, and the press/media.

Just about anyone that is not 'privy' to his inside information, which comes from who knows where, but has to be true, he says so.

A zombie economy for some, others have done very well since 2008.

Austerity was a choice and not a very good one but swallowed as necessary by those that keep falling for 'A country's finances are like a household' lie. Hopefully populism is on the way out and competent government will come back into fashion.  We have another few years of the experiment to run though.
