Hello from Glasgow

Hi

 

I am a chartered surveyor by trade, working in retail property management (shopping centres and retail parks), having moved from London to Glasgow circa 2.5 years ago.

 

I purchased a semi-detached property in the west-end of the city shortly after I relocated and it has been a labour of love/hate in modernising, refurbishing and tidying up the property. The property is a Barrett build late 80’s build. Recent late 2020 works included a new boiler, upgrade of fuseboard, removal of redundant cold water tank and roof works. 
 

I am looking to become a regular contributor to the board to hopefully pass on any of my expertise or tips where possible and also equally look for some advice where possible on the lengthy remaining list of works, which currently centres avoid the loft space.

Welcome and you'll put plenty value on doing that loft space! Especially in the west end. 

 

I'm just 30 mins down the road in Ayrshire but work in Glasgow ( well my office is still there, but currently still wrong from home!)
