Soakaway design for rain water and retaining wall

If I am not mistaken i can channel rainwater from a roof to a correctly designed soak away, which I intend to do.

However my build has retaining walls, what do you do with water from these drains? Do these go to the soak away to?

If so how is the water from these incorporated into the soak away design and sizing

Your retaining wall has drains that vent to the outside of the wall, yes?

My instinct would be to wait and see how much water is produced by the wall after a large amount of rain. If you are worried by that volume of water, a quick, simple French drain is all you'll need I suspect.... Just link the French drain to your soak away.

How tall are these retaining walls?

I've got some around a lawn - prob 600mm high.  Just a french drain on the lawn side, I've even put a water proof barrier on the wall side if the this to stop the ground water from staining the bricks.  Seems OK to me.
