Preparing a new site - Can I re-use old rubble

Hi,

Im currently clearing an area to the side of my house in preparation for the ground works to commence on a new single storey double garage.

There used to be a prefabricated garage on approximatey the same site which was sat on a concreate pad.

Im in the process of breaking up the old concrete slab which measures approx 6 x 6 m x 15cm (no reinforcing). Im wondering if I'll be able to re-use the broken up rubble as part of the foundations on the new garage (floor slab, underneath dpm), rather than pay to have it taken away, then pay again for new rubble to be delivered!

The pieces are currently quite large, but can be made smaller - just a question of effort!

Much appreciate some opinions on this!

Thanks

Adrian

Really is a question of effort Vs cost and therefore whether you are time rich, money poor or vice versa.

Someone out there will come and take away your chunks of concrete FOC (list it on FB Marketplace, Gumtree etc) which will save you a fair amount of time breaking it up.
