Brick lights for driveway gates

Hi all,

I am having an in- and out drive built soon with 1.8m pillars (rendered) either side. Eventually there will be sliding gates on both and I have an electrician coming soon to look at power supplies.

I want lights on all 4 pillars for visual appearance and to stop people from driving into them ... thinking of elegant brick lights, lighting up the floor area so they don't blind other drivers.

Can I please ask what you all have chosen? Maybe with pictures?

Thanks

Modified mine to 240V double insulated so i could eliminate buried transformers and use GU10 LEDs. They go brown or can be blue/patinated.

Water is the bain of all outside lighting so make sure to use the highest IP rating you can get and check the design yourself. We originally used transformers that were potted and rated for burial in the ground. About half leaked. The air in the transformers expands and contracts with temperature changes and this can suck water in past even quite robust seals.
