Precast Concrete Beam and Block Floor Design

Our BR officer has requested this.  We cannot find our groundworker, the foundations went in 18 months ago.  Are there online design calculators we could use, to save money rather than going to an architect ? It was all complicated as we started with an Approved Inspector and the company failed to get insurance so we transferred to LA.  TIA

Can you find out who supplied the beams?  They will probably have a design dept who can do an as built drawing.  As long as the spans are not more that 4.0m and there are no loadbearing walls it is very straightforward.

Thanks Mr Punter, we were living in another county and I cannot remember the delivery.  Just remember the concrete being poured and next time we visited the beams were in place.

Well your only option is to ask your SE if he will do a design for BC

It shouldn’t cost much

Got the receipt for VAT reclaim? If the builder purchased it ask him.

Unless the OP can find a very friendly and accommodating engineer, I work with three who wouldn’t commit to producing such calculations as they are a specialist time of which engineers do not have the loading information.

@Boris 18mths isn’t actually that long ago. Has your builder/groundwork gone awol as I assume you remember their details?
