Need urgent help as am at breaking point.

Bathroom is tiled in Calacatta Lappato Extra by Minoli. Which Mapei UltracolourPlus colour grout would the distinguished experts here use? Am torn between plain white and silver grey. Cannot get swatches / samples of grout at the moment.

Thank you

Never white grout. It doesn't stay white for long at all.

Neither does the silver stay silver.  We have a light grey grout called Gun Metal and about 18 months on it looks pretty ropey now.  Probably because nobody can be bothered to clean it.

I definitely wouldn't go white - you're bound to end up with a slight mismatch in whiteness, and that never looks right.

Can you lay some tiles out on the floor with some coloured strips of paper taking the part of the grout? Might at least give you an idea of how a darker grout might sit (and whether white will look right).

Topps Tiles have the Bal grout colour strips so you could take the tiles in to there and match them.  They are expensive so you may want to shop around for the actual purchase.

Thank you - I ordered colour samples from Mapei but what they sent is a joke - a palm-wide strip of glossy paper with horizontal colour stripes of various colours. Obviously trying to match the width of a joint but not working really.

thanks everyone for your opinions, we also can't be bothered to daily scrub all the joints so they'll never be white... (or pearl white... or even decent silver grey.... )

Doesn't help you much given your marble is a lot whiter than ours, but here's ours in (from memory!) Mapei smoke grey.

It doesn't look quite as dark as this in real life.

What's the name of these tiles please and where were they bought from? Looking for something very similar

They were volakas marble, 610 x 305, bought from Mandarin Stone in 2015. It doesn't look like they sell it any more, but it appears you can get it elsewhere.

Good luck.
