Planning driving me crazy

Recommended Posts

I expected to be given the go ahead to get started yesterday

But we seem to be going over old ground

I was told that he would have posted a commencement notice But for the Heritage officer objecting to the materials the windows and door are made from

She wants wood we don't

Ive already told him that it wasn't mentioned in the five planning conditions

He pointed out that she did include a line saying wood would be preferred

Original Passed app says Frames and doors UPVC

Stalemate

How long have you been waiting for them to sign off the conditions ..??

They only have 8 weeks and after that it's non-determination and you can ask for fees back etc and force their hand.

I thought you were quite close to that - worth waiting for ..?? And the heritage officer can go take a walk, comments are non-enforceable unless they are specifically worded as conditions ...!

Ive told him that the heritage comments are not on the five conditions

I spoke to planners AGAIN today and made it clear that the objections raised by Heritage Are not mentioned on the original passed application

and see little point in adding restrictions at this late

But will take on board all that Heritage have highlighted

My application went back to committee today and was approved with no amendments

Happy relieved Perhaps a bit of both

Great end to a very difficult week

I remember the feeling well.  It's criminal that they'd try to push through something they know they have no authority to insist upon.  Well done for sticking to your guns!

But for the good advice and support on here it would be very easy to be misled by planners.

Also it helps to have a good moan with like minded people.
