I thought I'd have more time once our life changed 3 months ago, what time I did have is now much less!

As has been said it's more of an American thing. At least you should be well versed when you do yours!

 

A (good?) Pinterest link that really goes into the ingredients for a mix. Mentions fibres, plasticisers etc and an interesting "mineral" additive. I imagine that might give it a "glisten". Of course you can buy it pre mixed. I wonder if ground / crushed glass could be used?
