The supplied flexi hoses just hand screw into the tap ? - there appears no possible way to get any tool in there to tighten .... But of course water through the plug hole will find that gap anyway . Rather crap design I think ! . Ptf tape around the upper part of the thread where the washer is ?? Onoff Posted January 18, 2021 Share Posted January 18, 2021 I'd do away with the washer on top, they tend to be a bit generic, one size squashes to fit "all". I'd put a big slug of BT1 etc around the waste. Similar principle to how I did my bath waste. Ditched the top washer, kept the one underneath. The top, baby wiped to finish: Same on the washer underneath: Tighten but do not let the top turn even if it means SWMBO standing above. Where you just have the crap white washer then the black fixing nut . It’s really crap as water runs out from those overflow holes in the sink plug and therefore run down outside the mechanism .
