Newbie - a few weeks in to converting bungalow to chalet

Hi there, 

I’ve been lurking for a while, especially on advice on venting induction hobs. I decided it was time to get involved. We are converting an old and previously extended bungalow to a chalet bungalow, increasing the footprint on 3 sides, introducing a front door (yes, previous owners decided it wasn’t necessary) and redesigning the garden. It’s a huge project. Mostly exciting, but also scary.

Yes, I agree: it's sometimes fun to ski in front of an avalanche.

Tell us about the front door. Maybe a few pictures would help - or a scan of the plans perhaps?

First pic is the architect drawing of the old bungalow, the second two are what we are building. The last one is a pic of where we have got to... We’ve changed the West elevation so the back door is not next to the front door (bizarre idea, that was).
