  1. A reno property / demo-replace has come up near to me for auction. Guide price 100k. Post code NG17 2HR, 7 Springwood View, Sutton-in-Ashfield. 3 miles to M1J28. Nice cul-de-sac. People stay for years - this looks like a deceased sale from 2002, rented since. Notes: 80 sqm - 2 bed. My est. 400sqm plot. Potential for extension/garage convert. These were sold as plots by the Council in approx 1970 and people commissioned their own houses. Problem here is said (Engineers' Report) to be voids under the floor so says put in suspended floors (20k+ work estd on that). Risk of asbestos? Cul de sac has Outstanding Lower School at the other end, and road-free access to child playground etc. Tried to sell it for £260k in 2018. Failed.   2. Hi all, Just as a heads up - theres a pair of plots for sale in Colden Common, near Winchester, Hampshire. The price is, well, Winchester prices so a little barmy but it does come with full PP for 2 x 4 bed houses. Search for - 17/01374/FUL I've currently got an offer in on one plot however it seems that no one else has put an offer on the other. Theres approx 5 other offers in from developers on the pair of plots so it's unlikely that I'll get it... but... theres quite a good family backstory behind these plots (read the design and access statement in the planning). It makes me think that perhaps they may entertain a human story over a developer. So... does anyone fancy getting involved on the other plot? Disclosure: I'm not connected to this plot in anyway at all other than putting in an offer on one of the plots. Sharing for the benefit of the self build community.
