  1. We bought a new house with garage door towards garden in a bit not so aesthetically pleasing state. Now we wish to fix this but I am currently not sure given the gaps between wall and the floor height from the door frame. I would appreciate if you could give me some insight to get going. Please see the picture attached
  2. I'm looking at ordering 100mm insulation for a new build annex (100mm cavity) I've come across Knauf earthwool dritherm 32 and dritherm 37. The 37 is quite a bit cheaper and wondering if anyone has any advice. I've been told that if using a full slab to go double the thickness of what kingspan would need to be.
  3. I cant get access to next doors or the adjacent property to build my garden room. I'm wondering if it's possible to build it all off the slab within the new build (8mx4m) Im trying to find out if its doable by building the external block work first then using a full fill cavity insulation as I'll not be able to use the original idea of 50mm kingspan. (cavity 100mm) Any advice would be massively appreciated.
  4. Calling all people with past or current experience in timber frame and traditional construction. As part of my degree I am required to research a topic of my choice. My chosen area is; productivity in housebuilding. I am trying to determine why brick and block cavity wall construction still remains the most dominant method of construction for house builders. It would be much appreciated if you or anyone with experience in this field could please complete my short questionnaire. Simply click on the link below, it comprises 12 questions and will take less than 3 minutes of your time to answer. I am more than happy to share the results with anyone who would be interested The information you provide will anonymous and will be treated with the strictest confidence. Please pass on or share to anyone who would be able to help. Thanks in advance. https://www.quicksurveys.com/tqsruntime/main?surveyData=r4lva2rxrwxQVGKkc7VdDr4ScfR0NkzsWxj1PYyl1SP0pqFJPiLmStZ659V5n7R8
