So, I've been looking at shower enclosures - can find what I want but at a price! Spent 2 hours online choosing the tray!!! Is there anything 'wrong' with just buying the glass panels separately and making my own enclosure? Tray will be 1200 x 900 So looking for ( I presume ) a 700mm glass, 300mm hinged flipper , then a 900mm pane for the 'rear' ( so a 500mm entrance into the enclosure ) Is this a better way of doing things? or should I keep to an 'enclosure' that meets my requirements? ( is an enclosure just as I've listed anyway??) cheers

I know that's not cheap, but i have used them in the past, and in my opinion, there are a quality piece of kit.

One leg of the H done, like you it’s too wet here and the water is starting to puddle on the drive as ground is saturated. Thats probably the worst bit - in shade and next to trees so a bit mossy. I have a flat circular head for the Karacher - it’s good for a general clean but not as effective when there’s ingrained dirt and moss. The only downside of bonded gravel is it’s inherent open texture which will always give the opportunity for things to grow on it. This is like carpet cleaning though - until you've done the first bit its hard to tell how filthy it is

The highest paid sole traders tend to come in at under 1200. The 1500 tends to be to a company. Those are 'consultants' mostly - a mix of change management and tech. That said the vast majority of tech are between 400 and 600 and the majority of change managers 500 - 700. It's all changed with IR35 however and they are now either employed via an umbrella company or we parted company today in fact.

I like @Nickfromwales folding door panels one he did. It was the inspiration for my wet room corner. No doors on mine though that may happen in the future and there are strong points in the walls to take them.

Window cills, and a bit later cupboard trims. I've found a router more useful and quicker than hammer and chisel sometimes. Neater too.

Woodworking tools have always been available in Imperial sizes, much like timber, some of which seems to have stayed Imperial in real terms, but just changed the labels to make it seem as if it's made to metric dimensions. I've just had a look at my set of Stanley chisels, bought around 20 years ago, and all are marked with Imperial widths. Even a Chinese-made "12mm" chisel I have here is really 12.7mm when measured, so is really a half inch wide, masquerading as a metric one.

Exactly, and i got to chat up his French, Model, stunning girlfriend. My biggest dick up was another Arsenal player, who when i was leaving, after a 3 week job, asked me if i played golf. I said no, and he said to help myself to a set of clubs from the garage.(He had about 10 brand new sets). I thanked him, but said i would give it a miss. When i got in the van with my 16 year old summer helper, he said, what's wrong with you, the cheapest set of clubs in there is £3k.....Doh

Most expensive trade? Kitchen fitter. He snapped a 3m length of worktop, holed a water pipe, damaged a cupboard door and an island end panel, and cut into the control panel of a brand new Bosch dishwasher with a multi-tool. Thankfully, it was expensive for him not me!?

I think that should be OK if you check up on the seller. Feedback, their ebay shop, their website (which will let you trace their history) etc. And buy with a Credit Card. I have done about 5 that way. Then flipper panels are fine if that is what you want. I normally avoid as it is a moving part which I avoid as far as possible - but I have had one in a rental since 2011 or so and it is not dead yet. For that wet room feel, have a short panel and no flipper then you will have real water everywhere ??? . F

I had one guy on site . Messed up the measurements for some custom walk on glazing . Cost me £3.5k - F ‘ ing idiot !
