  2. Had to have words with the groundworks people onsite about their language. 'But you swear' - came the response. Yeah - but not loudly, so can be heard 100 yards away, when young children are coming home from school. To me it's all about context, audience and intention. Whatever the word it is only letters arranged in a specific way And on an adult forum - sorry ... forum for adults. I would object to being sworn at definitely but not the use of swear words.

  3. I am willing to put up any picture or bad language, I get posts deleted on a regular basis. I blame it on my mute tourettes syndrome https://www.johns-jokes.com/mute-tourettes-syndrome

  5. Is this temporary or permanent? i have found even with the black membrane you will get weeds they can grow from top down as well as from bottom up you will find you will get weeds from any form of seed spread be it the wind or birds or you wheeling the mower across the surface. Unless this is going to be the mutts nuts finished article I think I wouldn’t bother with the membrane. Get some roundup and give it a spray every now and again to keep the edges tidy.

  7. Well this one eventually panned out last week. After several calls and emails from the planning officer over the last few months, they got to the point they said I needed to put an application in within 7 days. To support my application I said I wanted to know what other similar fences (well not actually similar as mine will be hidden behind a hedge once its established) in my village had planning permission, were under permitted development, or did nt have planning. I sent in 9 examples for them to investigate and said I believed I believe I was being victimised for reasons unknown to me. The next day I had a long email back that effectively said what I d said all along, in that I don’t need planning permission as the fence will eventually be behind a hedge. What a waste of everyone’s time.
